The Preschool at Bishop Schad offers our youngest learners — ages 3 through 4 — a quality education in a warm and supporting environment that is rich with opportunities. Happily Ever After Reading Readiness affiliated with the Super Kids Reading Program. The Happily Ever After readiness curriculum focuses on the following four areas: Oral language and Vocabulary, Listening Skills, Direction Following, Fine Motor Skills.

Story structure and appreciation through listening to classic children's literature.

Print and book awareness skills, such as print directionality.

Letter recognition.

Fine motor skills, such as using scissors, folding, and gluing.

Auditory discrimination and phonological awareness skills.

10 colors and 8 shapes, such as line, dot, and circle.

Instructional concepts and vocabulary, such as underlining, following an arrow and circling.
