Bishop Dennis Sullivan celebrated Mass for Catholic Schools Week at Bishop Schad Regional School; the only remaining Catholic school in Cumberland County. He was joined by Monsignor John H. Burton of Christ The Good Shepherd Parish and Fr. Joel Arciga-Camarillo of Divine Mercy Parish, both in Vineland, as well as Fr. Matthew Weber of The Parish of the Holy Cross in Bridgeton.
The annual celebration of Catholic Schools Week began Sunday, January 27. This is a national event sponsored by the National Catholic Education Association (NCEA) and is a celebration of Catholic education in the United States. All week long students celebrated each day with focus on their community, families, teachers and vocations.
Bishop Schad Regional School is the only Catholic school remaining in Vineland, as a matter of fact, the only Catholic school in all of Cumberland County. Under the direction of Sr. Rosa Ojeda and the Missionary Daughters of the Most Pure Virgin Mary, our school is a community rich in faith and guided by Gospel values. We provide our students with the foundation needed to become responsible adults with a clear vision and sense of God’s purpose for their lives.
