This week we are reviewing the letters T, C, and F. Make sure you know the sounds each one of these letters make. In Math we are continuing to count numbers to 20. This Friday we will celebrate Winnie the Pooh’s Birthday with cupcakes and juice and we are making a book about Martin Luther King Jr. Also, in Science we will start exploring our five senses. Don’t forget that this Friday is a Noon Dissmissal and that Monday January 18th there will be no school.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas break. It is back to work for Kindergarten. This week we are starting another new letter. The letter “F”.
In Math this week we are starting a new chapter. We will be learning numbers 11-31.
Don’t forget to practice reading your sight words that we have learned so far. The students will be tested at the end of this week on the words we have learned.
As part of our Centers this week we will be making snowflakes and snowmen.
I hope everyone has a wonderful New Year and continue reading for at least fifteen minutes every night and writing it down on your reading log.

This week our new letter is “C”. We are also continuing to go over opposites and tomorrow we are going to be making predictions as we read our story.
Today we had a special visit from St. Nicholas who left us special treats in our shoes and we learned that he is the patron saint of children. On Tuesday we are going to Mass to celebrate the Immaculate Conception.

I hope eveyone had a great Thanksgiving.
We started another new letter this week. The letter “T”.
In Religion we started learning about the birth of Jesus and next week we will be making a nativity scene.
Continue practicing letter sounds and sight words.

Even though it is a short week it is a very busy week for Kindergarten. Today we made pattern head bands to wear while we eat our turkey tomorrow. In Religion tomorrow we will share things we thank God for. We are also continuing to write and count our numbers to ten and to use ordinal numbers first through fifth. Everyone is doing such a good job.
Don’t forget to keep practicing your sight words and reading for at least 15 minutes every night.

This week we are learning a new letter. The letter “I”, so start thinking of words that begin with the sound of “I”.
In Math we are going to start counting and writing numbers 1-10.
Don’t forget to bring your teddy bear to school on Friday so we can celebrate National Teddy Bear Day.

Dear Students,
You’ve now been in Kindergarten two months. Can you believe it! Everyone is working really hard and doing such a great job. Remember to keep going over the letters we have learned so far: N, A, D, S. Also, practice reading your sight words.
Next week we are learning another letter in the alphabet. The letter M. Try and think of words that begin with the sound of M.
