I hope that you are enjoying the summer and staying cool in this excessive heat wave. I just got back from my vacation to Cape Cod, MA. It was a lot cooler there! I spent time with my family on the beach–it was great. On my way back I stopped in Mystic CN. I had a wonderful time.

It is here–SUMMER!! You have been a wonderful group of young boys and girls and we are all very proud of you.  You have grown and accomplished much this year.

I hope you have a wonderful summer full of love and happiness.  Remember to read a little everyday and attend Mass, weekly.

Until we meet again, I leave you with an Irish prayer:

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

I will post through out the summer.  I will put up a vacation post where you can post about your vacation experiences.  It will be fun to read everyone’s adventure and see the different places that are visited.

Our Gospel reading was from John 12: 1-8. We read that Martha served the dinner and Mary anointed Jesus’ feet with costly perfume and then wiped them with her hair. These were acts of love.
